LADD SANGER SETTLES REGIONAL JET CRASH CASE

Ladd Sanger represented one of two survivors of a regional jet crash near Kirksville, Missouri, where a scheduled passenger flight from St. Louis went down during its landing approach. The aircraft descended below a safe glide path and struck trees after the pilots failed to properly follow established instrument approach procedures.

The National Transportation Safety Board determined that pilot fatigue, combined with deviations from standard procedures and reliance on visual cues in poor visibility, contributed to the crash. The aircraft ultimately impacted terrain short of the runway and was destroyed in a post-crash fire, tragically resulting in 13 fatalities.

Ladd’s client survived with severe burn injuries and significant trauma. The case was resolved through a confidential settlement.
