Jim Mitchell Settles with Assisted Living Facility Over Resident Death

Jim Mitchell settled a case against an  assisted living facility in Houston, Texas for the death of one of its residents. The resident had complained about the HVAC system in the unit only blowing hot air, despite the fact that it was a Texas Summer. After allegedly fixing the problem, the resident was found dead of a heat stroke in her unit one morning. It was determined that the HVAC system had failed, resulting in the residential unit heating up to over 100 degrees. The case was settled for a confidential amount.
